Past Outdoor Club Trips

Dinosaur Social 2026

We ended the school year with our spring social trip to Dinosaur National Monument! We had lots of people come and camp with us. During the day we saw a wall of dinosaur bones and petroglyphs. Then everyone went off and did their own hikes and adventures and we ended the trip all hanging out with a big campfire … Gotta love the social trips!

Sand Dunes backpacking

In the spring around 20 people headed off to the Great Sand Dunes National park for the weekend. We hiked to a frozen waterfall in the morning and then headed off to camp in the dunes for the night. We hiked to the highest point and then set up camp. People enjoyed running down the dunes, stargazing, and hanging out with new people.

Moab Camping

The outdoor club headed out to Moab for a fun camping weekend. We camped at a beautiful spot and spent the nights hanigng out by the campfire. Everyone had an amazing time exploring the Arches national park, Canyonlands national park, and taking a cold plunge in the river. Along with all the cool rocks, everyone got to meet new people and make new friends!

Zirkel Circle

This backpacking group went on over to Steamboat to learn how to backpack. They hiked roughly 11 miles and 2,500 feet of elevation gain over 2 days. Once they made it to their campsite and got all set up and then stargazing. In the morning they went on to take a look at the lake and then spent the rest of the day finishing the loop.

Rocky Mountain Snowshoeing

In winter, a group of members met up and made their way to RMNP. They gathered their snowshoes, trekking poles, and micro spikes and had an amazing experience. They hiked 4 miles on an out-and-back trail up to some frozen alpine lakes. Along their hike they encountered lots of fresh snow and made many new friends.
