Fall Social Trip! || September 25-27

Come join us for our annual Outdoor Club social trip! This year we will be heading to an amazing, dispersed camping spot in the direction of steamboat springs. Get excited for a weekend of camping, exploring, and socializing around the extra long campfire (if we can have fire) on OC's biggest trip of the year! This is a great way to meet new people and get outside!

DETAILS TO KNOW

THE PLAN-

  • We will be meeting in the northwest corner of the Morgan Library Parking Lot at 5:00PM on Friday, September 25th. We will be leaving at 6PM no matter what. At the parking lot we will arrange a carpool to ensure all members and their gear have a ride. The drive to our campsite is approximately 2.5 hours and almost the entire thing is in the Poudre Canyon (so no highways). We will be camping 2 nights and returning to campus on Sunday. We encourage you to go do whatever you want on Saturday (as long as you tell us about your cool adventures that night at the campfire)

  • WHAT TO BRING-

    • Warm Sleeping Bag.

    • Tent (with all of its poles and stakes)

    • Sleeping pad.

    • Hiking Boots

    • Daypack

    • Food. Outdoor club does not provide food to members on trips. You need Friday dinner, saturday breakfast lunch and dinner, and a plan to eat sunday morning on the drive home

    • Cooking equipment

    • Sunscreen

    • Warm clothes. Jacket, pants, gloves, hat, etc. (bring infinite layers...if you don't need them a friend will be cold)

    • Folding chair (optional, but a stellar idea)

    • blanket

    • Rain jacket

    • HELLA WATER. Seriously, bring a lot of water. There is no water source at the campsite and you will be there for two nights, doing strenuous activity, and cooking. One water bottle isn't enough. Two liters isn't enough. Please try to bring 4 or more liters of water with you (That's 4 nalgenes and abt 3.5 hydro flasks)
